Hello! My name is Bridie and I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2018 with a major in Business and a minor in art, specifically Graphic Design. I was a Division 1 athlete on East Carolina's Swimming and Diving team which has greatly attributed to my being hard working, organized and a team player. I was also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a Business Honors Society that recognizes students in the top 10% of their class.

Currently I am the Special Events Assistant at Georgetown University Law Center in downtown DC. At Georgetown, I assist with the planning and execution of many fun and high profile events, as well as managing the finances for the office.

In the fall of 2018, I participated in the Disney College Program, where I lived and worked down at Walt Disney World in Florida for 6 months. As a Cast Member, I was a part of the Food & Wine Festival team handling merchandise and interacting with guests throughout Epcot. I learned many valuable skills while working for the Walt Disney Company and enjoyed being part of the magic.

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Matthew 6:26

I am unable to create without He who first created me. My faith has always been an ongoing journey and something that is very important to me. During a moment in my life when I felt particularly lost, I remember turning to the Bible for comfort. I found the verse Matthew 6:26 and it resonated with me as having true faith in the unknown future at a time when my future felt uncertain. It was in this moment of weakness that I found my true strength, and thus I knew I wanted to associate my brand with this passage.

Additionally, my name Bridie is often mistaken as being read 'birdie.' I have never taken offense to the mix up, but rather seen it as a term of endearment. I also grew up watching classic Disney movies, my favorites being Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Mary Poppins. In these films, little birds are always portrayed as loyal friends and companions, so I wanted to pay tribute to my Disney roots. Thus was born my brand "Little Blue Bird."

Thanks for reading!
